Fumigation Services
At Peter A. Thomson Moving & Storage we are constantly looking for new and innovative services to enhance and complement our already outstanding customer service. To that end, Peter A. Thomson Moving & Storage has recently formed an exciting partnership with the New York based fumigation specialists, Bed bugs and Beyond, who is an industry leader and the only licensed organization solely focused on the elimination of bed bugs in a single treatment. Their service is 100% guaranteed using a scientifically proven treatment agent, Sulfuryl Fluoride, also known as Vikane Gas in the fight against bed bugs and all other household pests.
The partnership between Peter A. Thomson and Bed bugs and Beyond was formed to help residents of multi-family buildings eradicate insect infestations. Vikane Gas is used to eliminate bed bugs in all stages of life in entire structures that can be contained as well as multi-family residences that cannot be contained by treating the infested belongings in our trucks, see below.
When complete structural fumigation is not an option, we can help. The process is simple, and extremely effective.
1. You, (or Peter A. Thomson, if you choose our complete Pack/Unpack option) will pack your belongings according to the packing guidelines provided by Bed bugs and Beyond. Once your belongings are removed for fumigation it is recommended that you have your place of residence treated topically by a licensed PCO and verified bed bug free by a K-9 detection service to be sure there are no bugs residing before returning your bed bug free belongings to you.
2. Peter A. Thomson will load your belongings into our air-ride trailer and will bring it to our secure warehouse in New Jersey or Bed bugs and Beyonds secure yard in Queens, NY for fumigation.
3. Bed bugs and Beyond will then fumigate the entire trailer using Vikane Gas. Vikane is a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas that leaves no residue and eradicates infestation by penetrating 100% of a contained area and producing an effect that interferes with the all life stages of the pests ability to absorb oxygen to sustain life. It is completely safe to humans outside containment and causes no negative environmental effects.
4. After the fumigation, customers belongings are vented until the fumigated container reaches a level of zero parts per million.
5. Peter A. Thomson delivers your belongings to the new residence (and unpacks your belongings if you choose our Pack/Unpack option).
If you are unable to move and your residence is infested you can still take advantage of our combined services. The same steps as above are taken except while your belongings are being fumigated Bed bugs and Beyond works with a partner pest control operator to protect your home against the possibility of re-infestation.
